In recognition of a donation in their name, you will receive a Gift Card (see samples) with the colour picture of Sacrifice Island, which MICA has recently acquired in partnership with the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and the Province of Nova Scotia. If you wish, the card can be mailed directly to the person of your choosing. The card will indicate simply that you have made a donation to MICA in their honour.

Andrews, Backmans, and Covey Islands, the northern end of Masons Island, and Long, Centre, Dry and Snipe Islandsand now Sacrifice are in public ownership. Donations from members and friends of MICA, along with the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, and the Long Island Preservation Society has allowed us to achieve these accomplishments. These islands are now available for public use in perpetuity.

Looking ahead, we plan to continue fundraising to bring additional Mahone Bay islands into public ownership. Donations made to MICA will be used towards this end.
