5th Annual
MICA Gala Dinner & Auction Fundraiser
MICA Gala Dinner & Auction Fundraiser
Last year's Gala Dinner & Auction was sold out once again. The silent and live auctions featured an incredible selection of art and other talents donated by our supporters and helped raise $25,500 - the greatest amount ever at a MICA auction - to support MICA's mission.

The Art Auction Dinner took place at the Oak Island Resort, Spa & Convention Centre, at Western Shore and was attended by Finance Minister Michael Baker, Minister of Community Services Judy Streatch, Conservative MP for the South Shore Gerald Keddy, Senator Wilfred Moore, and Municipality of the District of Lunenburg Deputy Warden Elmer Garber.
M.C. for the evening was MICA director Michael Ernst and guests enjoyed music by the talented Laurie McNeill. The Personal Treasures room, a popular Cash 'n' Carry sale of personal items from people's homes (china, crystal, antiques, jewelry, small artistic items or family heirlooms) and the Silent Auction of delightful items from local businesses and individuals, ran from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., the Live Auction of works by local artists and other items (including gourmet dinners, music for your private party, cottage getaways, and Propeller Brewery tour) began after dinner with perennial favourite, auctioneer Dean Manning.
